2017 Coast Open
December 2-3, 2017 at Diamondhead Country Club
Format: 36-Holes, Stroke Play, USGA, and Diamondhead Country Club local rules apply. The Coast Open Champion shall be the
player with the lowest 36-hole gross score in the Championship Division. There will be no handicap divisions for Amateurs however
the event will pay ten (10) low round non-winners for Sunday’s play along with paying 30-35% of the field for the 2-day
championship event. Amateur winners will be determined on gross score only. Low Amateurs will be awarded with golf shop gift
certificates. 72 players will be the maximum number of participants in the tournament. Additional signups after the 72nd player will
be put on a waiting list. This is a Mississippi Golf Association sanctioned event.
Eligibility: Professional and amateur golfers. Priority order will be professionals and then amateurs with a November 2017 USGA-
approved handicap index of 12.0 or lower
- Amateurs: $150
- MGCGA and PGA Affiliated Professionals: $200
- Unaffiliated Professionals: $250
Prizes: Professionals will play for a cash purse. Amateurs will play for merchandise certificates. Purse will be based on total
number of entries.
Practice Rounds: Monday, November 27th
- Friday, December 1st only $25 for amateurs and nonaffiliated professionals;
- Complimentary for MGCGA and PGA Affiliated Professionals.
Tournament Reception: Thursday, November 30th, 6:30pm at Silver Slipper’s Blue Bayou Restaurant. Please RSVP by
Monday, November 27th. Each participant is welcome to bring one complimentary guest.
Entry Deadline: Must receive full payment by 3:00pm, Wednesday, November 22nd or when full field of 72 players is reached.
***Late entries may be accepted at the sole discretion of the tournament director and any entries accepted after the deadline
will incur a $20 late fee.
